1. With reference to case law and other authorities, discuss the different rules of
interpretation or canons of construction of statutes which are used by courts in
determining issues brought before them. In your discussion, please present the other aids
to statutory interpretation as well (25marks)

2. Discuss the stages involved in the conduct of legal research and what role those stages
