At the end of the sessions, the learners will:

1. Appraise the curriculum development process


2. Examine the foundations of curriculum development/design/revision
3. Recognize the value of philosophical approaches and goals in curriculum development
based on traditional and nursing philosophies, and learning theories
4. Scrutinize factors that influence curriculum development or revision
5. Explore data gathering methods and sources essential for assessing/evaluating need for
curriculum development/change
6. Demonstrate understanding of the process of curriculum design
7. Revise factors important in curriculum design decisions
8. Examine variations in curriculum design based on type, structure, delivery, models,
organizing strategies, and course sequencing patterns
9. Scrutinize the curriculum design process in terms of defining the curriculum parameters,
facilitating the design process, deliberating the design, identifying the courses,
determining policies and guidelines, considering human and financial implications, and
deciding the design
10. Examine the process of identifying program learning outcomes
