* Thursday, May 23rd is the last day of
school for students and will be a half day,
dismissing at 12:10
*Please continue to send your student with a
backpack all of next week
• We will be bringing home supplies and
projects.
• We will NOT be having lunch on the last day.

Balloon Pop Fun Dear Parents

We We
will pop our balloons the day before each
of these cyndycobb@ozarktigers.org
days so that everyone will have the
chance to bring their items.
Please don’t share with your student until
after we pop next week 😉
Tuesday, May 21st - Beach Day - Please send a
beach towel to school with your child on this
day and a favorite book. We have lots of fun
“beach” activities planned.
Wednesday, May 22nd - Game Day - We will do
fun games! You may send your child with one
board game that is labeled with their name on
it. No electronics, please.
As we prepare for the year’s end, I give you back
your child, the same child you confidently entrusted
to my care last fall. I give them back pounds
heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more
responsible, and more mature then they were then.
Although they would have attained growth in spite
of me, it has been my pleasure and privilege to
watch their personality unfold day by day. I give
them back reluctantly, for having spent nine months
together in the narrow confines of a classroom, we
have grown close, have become a part of each
other, and we shall always retain a little of each
other. Ten years from now if we met on the street,
your child and I, a light will shine to our eyes, a smile
to our face, and we shall feel the bond of
understanding once more, this bond we feel today.
We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned,
and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it
could go on indefinitely, but give them back I must.
Take care of them, for they are precious.
Remember that I shall always be interested in your
child, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever
they become. I’ll always be happy to share!

class shirt, and apply sunscreen

water bottle! :)

Math
We are still working on
measurement. Ask your kiddo why
it’s important to use the same unit
to measure and compare!
Writing
We will write advice letters to next
year’s 1st graders. This class has
been so outstanding that I know
that they will have great tips. Ask
your child what advice they gave!

Content
We will continue to work on our
first-grade memory book. We are
having so much fun remembering
all the fun times we have had this
year.
We are also enjoying our balloon
countdown days.
