graph of x, y for the system.

3. A liquid mixture contains 60% toluene and 40% benzene (mol%).

• Determine the mol ratio of benzene.
• Determine the mass fraction and mass ratio of toluene.
• Determine the average molecular weight of the mixture.

4. For the liquid mixture of methanol-water at 60 ºC, calculate the vapor phase equilibrium
composition. It is known that in the liquid phase, methanol constitutes 30% mol. The
saturated vapor pressure of the pure solvents, methanol and water, is given by the following
graph:
5. For a mixture consisting of air saturated with water vapor at standard pressure at 40 ºC. It is
known that at this temperature, the saturated vapor pressure of water is 55.3 mmHg.
Determine the mol fraction, mass fraction, and mass ratio of water vapor and air in the
mixture.

6. For a mixture of air saturated with water vapor at a temperature of 50ºC, determine the mol
fraction, mol ratio, mass fraction, and mass ratio of water vapor and air in the mixture.
Consider two cases: 1) Atmospheric pressure and 2) Pressure of 2 atm.
