Nurse Activity

Hello everyone, introduce me, Selma Nursyamsiah, a S1 student of Nursing at the University of
Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya. My activity as a nurse is to continue to learn about nursing
science to provide safe and comfortable nursing care for patients. Being a nurse also has many
very important roles, most notably as a nursing care provider, as an advocate, as an educator, as a
coordinator, as a collaborator, as a consultant, and as a reformer. Being a nurse must also have
the ability to be a fellow doctor, be able to plan the right service for patients, have good
communication skills, think critically, and have a high sense of empathy.
My activities as a nurse start from waking up in the morning, starting from carrying out worship
and bathing. After that, continue with makeup so that my appearance is attractive if I meet many
people. After everything was settled, I continued to go to the hospital. When I arrived, I tidied
myself up again and went straight to the nurse's station to greet my colleague and make passes
and note down important points to do to the patient. After that, my colleague and I went around
visiting each patient to conduct an assessment while ascertaining the condition of each patient.
After that I did activities as a nurse in general, such as doing intravenous injections, changing
fluids, doing vital sign checks, wound care and so on.
After the action is completed, I also document it in the Patient Status book so that it can be seen
by my next colleague who will be on duty. After 8 hours of work all the nurses gather in the
nurse's station to perform the pass, explain the patient's condition, the actions that have been
given, and the action plan afterwards. After that said goodbye and went home, when I got home I
immediately cleaned my body for fear of many germs attached to my clothes and body, after that
I rested to prepare for the next day.
