Responsibilities of Project Engineer
Plan, manufacture, install, commission, and finalize all phases of the project,
including engineering design, planning, quality, and manufacturing.
Develop a plan for the project’s requirements, resources, and subcontracting.
Identify and correct potential risks in the project.
Deliver deliverables on time, clarifying the customer’s needs where needed.
Decide whether to create a departmental action subcontractor order for the
customer specifications.
Provide an accurate cost estimate for any changes in specifications.
An effective analysis of internal and external changes includes a feasibility
study.
Change requests must be explained in an understandable, clear, and focused
manner.
Take part in customer meetings and track customer changes as needed.
Participate in APQP and production planning.
Process for Approval of Parts (PPAP).
Analyze tasks concerning the project schedule.
Contribute to the verification and signing off of designs.
Provide technical support to customers or colleagues as needed.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
Providing support and facilitating process improvements.
Present project progress at client meetings and in reports.
To determine future trends and best practices, conduct benchmarking
studies.
Organize projects and subtasks so they can be tracked and presented.
Managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Participate in a variety of meetings and follow up/communicate instructions.
Monitor and review master construction programme and preparation of
catch-up programme if applicable
Preparation of detailed programme for site team to follow accordingly and
complete on time
Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for
construction
Coordinate between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and
monitor site manpower/material/equipment demands to meet schedules
Liaise with the Consultants, Resident Engineer and Contractors on the
submission related to structural works
Coordination of day to day site execution
Processes and tracks Submittals to owner, contact subs for items to be
submitted
Processes and tracks formal correspondence with Clients and
Subcontractors
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering
projects.
Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements
and representing them in the field.
Coordinate between clients, site team & factory team
Request for information, follow up with owner response to sub requesting
information
Keep track of all Extra Work Orders and liaise with Project Admin for costing
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans,
personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
Assign responsibilities to workers
Assists Safety Department with inventory maintenance of PPE on site
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other
project participants to provide assistance and technical support
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Minor transport arrangement
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
