Describe reason(s) you would like to enter the Information Systems Science and Engineering Course at

Ritsumeikan University (300 words)

The Information System Science and Engineering course at Ritsumeikan university align perfectly with
my interest in science and engineering. There are several reasons why I choose Ritsumeikan university
instead other university for this program. Firstly, the curriculum in this university offers a wide variety of
range that would be useful in the future. Lately a lot of new technology has been introduced, which itself
is a good thing for sure. But, on the other hand it also creates a new problem such as security related
problem. For example, a new device has been released. Surely it needs an operating system to function.
An Operating system is a base program where the device itself could be controlled. Any operating system
in this world right now, is far from a perfect state. An operating system that could be say a perfect state,
for me when it does not have bug or privacy related issue in it. Unfortunately, it is not the case right now.
Password Leak, Personal data leak are example of privacy related issue that is often discussed right now.
In Ritsumeikan university we will learn about operating system, and computer security. Surely, it would
be beneficial for me to learn this so I could solve this problem in the future.

Secondly, there will be an overseas internship program later down the semester. It would be beneficial
for my career in the future. In this internship program I could apply and improve my skill that I have
learned so far. Not only that, I also want to experience how does it felt to work in another country and
will be comparing how it is different to be living in another country other than Japan. So hopefully after
graduation I already got an idea about working abroad.
