ADSS Short Span Non-Metallic Aerial Cables

Containing 12 Fibers

GENERAL
The cable is multi-purpose type for application which can be installed as an aerial cable on the pole up to 100-
m distance (span) or as a duct cable, to be pulled inside a small HDPE subducts. The cable is metallic-free
which benefits the customers that needs no grounding works and free from lightning strikes.

REFERENCE STANDARDS
The offered fiber optic cable complies to the ITU-T G.652.D, IEC 60794, IEC 60793, and related TIA/ EIA
standards.

CONSTRUCTIONS
- FRP/ GRP, non-metallic, anti buckling central strength element
- All fibers shall be properly colored with transparent, bright, distinguishable colors
- Fiber colour sequence : blue, orange, green, brown, grey, white
- Each six fibers are inserted into the gel-filled thermoplastic loose buffer tubes
- Inner loose tube wall material is Polycarbonate (PC) and outer wall is Polybuthylene terephthalate (PBT)
- The coloured loose tubes are stranded in the following sequence : blue, orange, filler, filler, filler
- All loose tubes with fillers are SZ-stranded around GRP central element and bound with polyester yarns
- Swellable water blocking yarn is applied helically on the FRP central element
- Swellable water blocking tape(WBT) is wrapped around stranded loose tube
- Peripheral strength element/yarn are applied over the swellable water blocking tape
- Ripcord to ease cable jacket opening
- Black UV resistant high density polyethylene (HDPE) jacket as outer protection

CABLE END SEALING, DELIVERY LENGTH AND PACKAGE
Both cable ends are protected by means of heat shrinkable endcaps then to be firmly attached to the cable
drums. All cable drums are properly covered. Sufficient identification, precaution and handling information
labels including the test report are attached to the cable drum. The minimum delivery length is 2,000 m.
