– I went with Fusion as I am familiar with the company via marine
audio.

 Background
• The next page shows a pin-out of the NIT that I
pulled from the forum. After review of the CD
changer and these pins I had a hunch that the
input from the changer was a line level, and
therefore could be “hacked” to run a different
input source, while allowing the NIT to believe it
was playing a CD from the changer.
• We are interested only in pins 18-20 on
connector C3 (blue)
 Prep
• Expose the wires on the RCA cable
– You will have three wires total. The “shielding” wire for each RCA s just ground and can
be combined.
– Pro tip: strip way more wire then pictured

• If you have the mini ISO connector you can now

solder you leads in. Red to C20. White to C19.
Ground to C18. BT power: + to 16, - to 17
– C18, 19, &20 should be cut. 16 & 17 should be spliced in-
line.
• You can now see the NIT unit. The C3 harness we
are interested in is on the divers side bottom of
the unit, directly underneath the A&B harness. It
was not visible for me.
• Reach down and detach the C3 harness from the
NIT unit. The release tab is on the drivers side
and it should pull out easily.
• Not take your newly created adapter and plug the
C3 (blue harness) from the car into it.
• Plug the C3 harness from the adapter into the car.
• YOU’RE DONE!

• I do not have any adapter pictures as I hard
wired into the car wiring. I would not
recommend this (but I was too impatient to
wait for the harness to come in).
