INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING GROUP WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT & ORAL

PRESENTATION

Group Written Assignment:

Font: Times New Roman

Font size: 12
1.5 line spacing

Minimum length is 3 pages, & maximum is 10 pages.

If you write more than 10 pages, you must explain the reason(s) & get the lecturer’s
permission.

Prepare footnotes and provide a list of references.

The written assignment must be submitted physically the latest on the day of the presentation,
BEFORE the presentation, so that as you are presenting, the lecturer can glance through the
assignment.
However, students may want to do corrections on the written assignment after the
presentation and re-submit the written assignment. In this situation, the students must submit
the written assignment within 24 hours after the presentation. For example, if the students
have presented the assignment at a tutorial on Tuesday, at 2-2:50 p.m., and decides to re-do
the assignment, the students must re-submit the assignment before 3 p.m. the following day.

The Group Written Assignment carries 20 marks. Assessment is made based on the following
criteria:

However, if the presentation begins late, e.g., in tutorial at 3.00 p.m., if the presenters begin at
3.10 p.m., the presenters must stop at 3.30 p.m.

When the students are presenting, the lecturer may ask questions & the students must answer
the questions. No additional time will be given even if the lecturer asks so many questions.

The remaining 20 minutes will be for a few other students to give comments or ask questions
regarding the presentation, or for them to answer the lecturer’s questions.

Each member of a group must discuss the application of the sources to an issue(s). For
example, we do not want 1 member to just read the question & introduces the sources only,
while the other 2 members apply the sources.

1. Content
i. Knowledge of the law 2 marks
