Humans and Animals for Entertainment

We choose this topic because Animals are exploited and abused in a variety of
entertainment. In circuses, tigers, lions, and other animals are sentenced to a
lifetime of suffering and misery to provide few moments of delight to humans.
Using animals for the entertainment of humans has been going on since the
times of the Roman Empire. And we strongly believe that this is wrong to
animals ,Slaughtering them, making them do something completely against their
will is wrong. Just because animals can't express themselves or speak for them
doesn't mean they dont feel. That's why we should speak for them and speak
against something that is wrong.

Animals in Asia are among the most abused in the world. From bears captured and
caged for their 'bile', to dogs and cats slaughtered in horrific ways for their meat,
exploitation of animals in Asia is common and widespread. There are far fewer laws
protecting animals in Asia from cruelty and exploitation than in other continents.

This makes the work of dedicated animal welfare charities in Asia like Animals Asia,
even harder, as the law is often on the side of animal abusers.

Life for millions of dogs and cats in China is dangerous. Some are abandoned pets, left to
fend for themselves after being dumped by their owners. Many are strays born on the
streets.Government authorities organize brutal killing campaigns in an attempt to reduce
stray dog and cat populations.Animals Asia has rescued many dogs, cats, puppies and
kittens who have suffered horrendous abuse at the hands of people who see them as
'pests'.

Animals in circuses are often beaten, shocked, kicked, or cruelly confined in order to
train them to be obedient and do tricks. With elephants, the abuse begins when they are
babies to break their spirits.Under most state and federal laws, animals primarily are
regarded as property and have little or no legal rights of their own. Because of this
status, generally there is a presumption—provided no law is violated—in favor of the
owner's control and use over the best interests of the animal.

Animals aren’t actors, spectacles to imprison and gawk at, or circus clowns. Yet
thousands of elephants, bears, apes, and others are forced to perform silly, difficult
tricks under the threat of physical punishment; carted across the country in cramped,
stuffy semi-truck trailers; kept chained or caged in barren, filthy enclosures; and
regularly separated from their families and friends—all for the sake of entertainment.
Many of them are even forced to perform until the day they die.

Animals don’t like to put on shows—they’re used and abused for the sake of human
entertainment. To force bears, elephants, tigers, and others in circuses to perform
confusing and physically demanding tricks, trainers use bullhooks, whips, tight collars,
muzzles, electric prods, and other painful tools of the trade.

The consequences of Circus life impacts negatively on animal welfare. Captive animals
can't behave, socialize or get enough exercise as they would in the wild. Many animals
develop behavioral and/or health problems as a direct result of the captive life that
they're forced to lead.Animals in circuses suffer a poor environment and long, arduous
journeys. Extended periods being tied up, chained, or caged with no freedom of
movement results in abnormal behaviors that indicate these animals are suffering as a
result of a poor environment and welfare provision.Mistreating an animal can result into
animal cruelty, and could affect you the same way it is to abuse another human being.

Sanctuaries and zoos would be great to protect animals or help stranded wildlife
animals. Zoos inspire people to love all sorts of animals from around the globe while
ensuring their DNA will be around for future generations. Sanctuaries rescue wildlife
that were found in the most unfortunate situations and ensure they live the rest of their
life in a more natural and comfortable environment. Or if you notice any wild animal
stranded or injured you could contact zoos or sanctuaries.

Our learning was that we got to know how animals are being slaughtered day to day for
human entertainment, and how people are against animals being used for
entertainment. Also the craap test helped arrange the details in correct order.
