GUIDELINES

In lieu of the annual celebration of the Student’s Rights and Welfare,

we, the Student Government, have the paramount responsibility to
escalate the campaign of fighting for our rights. Likewise, we need to
amplify the voice of the youth through avenues that will allow them to
be educated, and be involved in the rampant issues of various sectors
both inside and outside the university. It is a challenge for us to finally
smash the sense of apathy in the society and encompass empathy to
others. Hence, we are expecting full cooperation and participation of all
the LSCs in the month-long celebration of SRW. SERVE THE STUDENTS!

BANNER MAKING CONTEST | Sept. 11, 2019 (Wednesday)

 
Mechanics
 The said contest is to be spearheaded by the Local
Student Council of each college
 The banner’s size shall be 2x3 feet
 The banner’s content shall encompass the month’s
theme and the college’s own advocacy
 It shall be showcased during the SRW Opening Parade
on Sept. 11, Wednesday
 Governor of each college shall have the opportunity
to present and explain their banner on the program
proper on Sept. 11 as well.

Criteria

 50% - Overall Content

 30% - Presentation/Explanation
 20% - Creativity

BENCH RALLY | Sept. 26, 2019 (Thursday)

LITERARY FESTIVAL | September 16, 2019 | Venues to be

 POSTER MAKING CONTEST
One representative or more per college ____________________
Mechanics
 The theme will be given by the Student’s Rights and
Welfare Committee.
 Canvass will be provided in the contest proper (1/4
Illustration Board)
 Materials that need to be provided by the contestants
– Oil Pastel is required
 Finalists will be displayed in the art exhibit of the
same amount.
 Winners will be announced during the Closing Salvo/
Cultural Night of the same month.

Criteria

 30% - Relevance to the topic

 30% - Creativity
 30% - Originality
 10% - Overall Appearance
 ESSAY WRITING CONTEST
One representative or more per category:
Filipino___________________ English___________________
Mechanics
 There will be both a Filipino and English Category
which will be judged separately.
 The theme will be given by the SRW committee.
 Participants will be given 2 hours to complete an
essay not less than 500 words but not more than 1000
words
 Participants are not allowed to bring materials that
may give them ideas during the course of the contest
 Winners will be announced during the Cultural Night

Criteria

 50% - Content and Relevance to the theme

 30% - Structure and Word Selection
 20% - Grammar and Style

 POEM MAKING CONTEST

One or more participants from each college may

Mechanics
 There will be both a Filipino and English Category
which will be judged separately.
 The theme will be given by the SRW committee.
 Participants will be given 2 hours to complete their
poem
 Participants are not allowed to bring materials that
may give them ideas during the course of the contest
 Winners will be announced during the Cultural Night

 30% - Creativity/Style and Originality
 10% - Coherence of form and structure
 10% - Clarity of imagery and language

 SPOKEN WORD POETRY CONTEST

 Filipino language will be the preferred medium.
 Participants are given a minimum 3 minutes and not
exceeding to 5 minute presentation.
 Winners will be announced during the Cultural Night

 20% - Poise and spontaneity of recitation
 10% - Clarity of spoken words

 Film Making Contest September 23, 2019 (Monday)

THIS IS OPEN TO ALL BE IT FROM MIXED COLLEGES OR COMBINATION OF

DIFFERENT STUDENTS

Mechanics
 Entries of contestants will be opened from
September 9-13, 2019
- List of members of the production
- Title of the Film
 The contestants shall also pass a 30-second trailer
with film poster file in A4 size and 300 dpi resolution
and submit it by September 20, 2019 (Friday).
 The theme of the film is to be posted on Friday (Sept.
6, 2019)
 The duration of the film must be minimum 3 minutes
and maximum of 6 minutes and shall be submitted on
September 23, 2019 (Monday).
 All entries will be publicly showed on the Film
Showing Day (date to be announced). And the
 winners will be announced during the Cultural night
on Sept. 27, 2019 (Friday)
 Special Awards such as Best Cinematography, Best
Director and Best Screenplay shall be announce also
during the Cultural Night.

 30% - Relevance to the theme

 30% - Cinematography
 30% - Creativity and Screenplay
 10% - Structure and Techniques

 Photography Contest
Mechanics
 The contest will be held during the course of the SRW
month.
 Entries will be posted on their social media accounts
(facebook, Instagram or twitter) with their caption
and #KarapatanSupportKoYan and #SRWMonth
 The best entries will be part of the photo exhibit on
September 18, 2019 (Wednesday)
 This is an open photography contest – Street
Photography, Concept Photography, Staged, etc.
 Theme: “Kabataan bilang lente ng malayang lipunan.”

Criteria

 30% - Relevance to the month’s theme

 20% - Creativity
 20% - Uniqueness
 20% - Technique
 10% - Overall Artistic Impression

 Bench Rally | September 26, 2019

Mechanics
 Requires 25-30 participants per college.
 You can use music or drums as an instrument.
 The committee will provide the 6 acryllic paints per
college.
 Minimum of 4 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes.
 Only recyclable materials are allowed for props.
  The concept of the yell shall depend on the Acts
under Magna Carta. Assignment will be done through
draw lots.

 20% - Originality
 25% - Sychronization
 10% - Audience Impact
 15% - Uniqueness

Programa at Pamantayan
Mahahati ang patimpalak sa dalawang pangunahing bahagi:
1. Unang bahagi (70% ng kabuuang iskor) :
 Advocacy Flagship – 20%
Kalakip ng oryentasyong magaganap, bubunot
ang bawat pares ng kalahok ng kanya-kanyang
adbokasiyang bibitbitin sa buong patimpalak (hal:
Agrikultura, Kapantayan sa Kasarian, Sining at
Kasaysayan, Victim Blaming, atbp.). Kasabay nito,
kailangang makabuo ng Lakan at Lakambini ng
Karapatan ng isang odyo-biswal na awtput
(dalawa hanggang tatlong minuto) na tatalakay
sa usaping nais nilang itampok. Ang bidyo ng
pares na may pinakamaraming views sa facebook
ang makatatanggap ng parangal na “Natatanging
Milenyal”. Dapat ring mabatid na ang dami ng
views ay hindi makaaapekto sa kabuoang puntos
ng adbokasiya. Samantala, ang pares namang
may pinakamakabuluhang presentasyon sa
napiling adbokasiya ay tatanghaling “Lakan at
Lakambini ng Kamalayan”.

Konseptong Larawan – 10%

Gaganapin sa isang tanging setting, binibigyang-
laya ang mga kalahok na makapag-isip ng sariling
paraan kung paano itatambol sa pamamagitan ng
larawan ang napiling panawagan. Maaaring
magsuot ng kakaibang kasuotan, props, maskara,
head dress o iba pang kagamitang
makapagdaragdag sa kabuluhan ng larawan.

Modernong Filipino, Yeah!: Kompetisyon

sa Kasuotang Kaswal – 20% (10% para sa
kasuotan at 10% para sa kasagutan)
Bahagi ng programa ang pagmomodelo at eksibit
ng modernong kasuotang Pilipino. Kinakailngang
maghanda ang kalahok ng natatanging
deskripsyon ng kanilang kasuotan. Ang kandidato
at kandidatang may swak na panlasa sa
pagtutugma ng fashion at maka-Pilipinong
sangkap ang tatanghaling “Modernong
Filipino/Filipina, Yeah!”. Sa bahaging ito rin papasok
ang “Hashtag segment” kung saan dapat ay maging
mulat at handa ang mga kalahok sa kalagayang
 Panlipunan.

Kompetisyon sa Temang Pangkasuotan –

20%
Malaya ang mga kalahok na bumuo ng sariling
costume na tiyak na kakatawan sa napiling
adbokasiya. Ang may pinakaakma at
makabuluhang kasuotan ay tatanggap ng
espesyal na karangalan.

Sigaw ng Kabataan - 20%

Sorpresang bahagi ng kompetisyon.

Pakikilahok sa buong Programa – 10%

Bahagi ng pamantayan ang masiglang pakikilahok
ng mga kandidato at kandidata sa mga aktibidad
ng SRW Month, higit lalo ang pakikisangkot sa
mga sumusunod: (1) Sectoral Convention, (2)
Opening Parade at (3) Mga Seminar na naka-
angkla sa programa.

2. Ikalawang bahagi (30% ng kabuuang iskor) :

Pormal na Kasuotan – 30%

Mula sa pribadong isponsor, nararapat ihayag ng
mga kalahok ang kanilang natatanging
ekspresyon at pagdadala.

Question and Answer – 70%

Nararapat ipamalas ng mga kalahok ang taglay
nilang husay, sentimento at kumpiyansa sa
pagtugon sa mga katanungang kaugnay ng
isyung panlipunan.
