ANNOUNCEMENT
About the handling of application for criminal record certificates of
foreigners staying in Vietnam

There are some situations about foreigners staying in Vietnam who apply
for criminal record certificates in local Departments of Justice but are not able to
get temporary residence confirmation letters to complete dossiers for criminal
record certificates. Therefore, Departments of Justice cannot accept those
dossiers.
To solve these problems and to guarantee the right of these foreigners, the
National Center for criminal record offers foreigners, who are staying in Vietnam
and are requesting or have requested criminal record certificates but are unable to
get temporary residence confirmation letters, contact the National Center to be
guided and solved.
