Tausend Jahre stirmten vordber, seitdem das ed!e Ungarnvolk unter der Fahrang des Helden Arpid sein aites Vaterland verliess und die Gemarkungen dieses waldigen, felsigen und strahlenden Larides dberschritt. Die Herzen von Millionen und Abermillionen jubeln jetzt dem vielbedeutenden Jubiliumsjahre ent- Regen. Denn siche da! Volker und Nationen ent Standen und starben in diesen tausend Jahren; im Schosse der Vergangenheit sind manche iragische Schicksale grosser Volker begraben. Revolutionen und Bruderkriege sah man erstehen und gar viele Stimme stirzten herab von der glinzenden Hohe, die sie erklommen, An den Ruinen der Zeiten, am Grabe der Volker erhoben sich neue, um neuen Kampfen entgegenzugehen ; doch Ungarn stand fest inmitten dieser Kampfe lund Sturme.
