✥ Safety Information ✥
WARNING:
This device must be used with shielded interface cables. The use of non-shielded cable is
likely to result in interference with radio communications and is prohibited under the EC
Directive rules.
The copier has been approved in accordance with Council Decision 98/482/EC for pan-
European single terminal connection to the pubic switched telephone network (PSTN).
However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in different countries,
the approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional assurance of successful operation on
every PSTN network termination point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier in the first instance.
Note:
The manufacturer should ensure that the vendor and user of equipment is clearly informed of
the above information by means of packaging and/or user manuals or other forms of user
instructions.
This product is approved for DTMF dialing only. When directly connected to the public
switched telephone network (PSTN mode) pulse dialing can not be used.
(Pulse dialing may only be used when this product is connected to a PABX.)
If an additional telephone is connected to the FAX unit, the LF (Loading Factor) should not be
greater than 30.

IC CS-03-TELECOMUNICATION DEVICE
NOTICE:
Industry Canada (IC) label identifies equipment. This certification means that the equipment
meets certain telecommunications network protective, operational, and safety requirements.
IC does not guarantee the equipment will operate to user’s satisfaction.
Before installing this equipment, users should ensure that it is permissible to be connected to
the facilities of the local telecommunications company. The equipment must also be installed
using an acceptable method of connection. In some cases, the company’s inside wiring
associated with a single line individual service may be extended by means of a certified
connector assembly (telephone extension cord). The customer should be aware that
compliance with the above conditions may not prevent degradation of service in some
situations.
Users should ensure for their own protection that the electrical ground connections of the
power utility, telephone lines, and internal metallic water pipe system, if present, are
connected together. This precaution may be particularly important in rural areas.
CAUTION:
Users should not attempt to make such connections themselves, but should contact the
appropriate electric inspection authority, or electrician, as appropriate.
NOTICE:
The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) assigned to each terminal device provides an
indication of the maximum number of terminals allowed to be connected to a telephone
interface. The termination on an interface may consist of any combination of devices subject
only to the requirement that the sum of the Ringer Equivalence Numbers of all the devices
does not exceed 5.
IV
✥ Safety Information ✥
The grant of a Telepermit for any item of terminal equipment indicates only that Telecom has
accepted that the item complies with minimum conditions for connection to its network. It
indicates no endorsement of the product by Telecom, nor does it provide any sort of warranty.
Above all, it provides no assurance that any item will work correctly in all respects with
another item of Telepermitted equipment of a different make or model, nor does it imply that
any product is compatible with all of Telecom’s network services.
This equipment is not capable, under all operating conditions, of correct operation at the
higher speeds for which it is designed. Telecom will accept no responsibility should
difficulties arise in such circumstances.
This equipment should not be used under any circumstances which may constitute a nuisance
to other Telecom customers.
WARNING NOTICE:
This equipment shall not be set up to make automatic calls to the Telecom ‘111’ Emergency
Service.

5.1 Broadcast
Overview of the Broadcast function
Broadcast enables the machine to scan the documents into memory and transmit it to two
or more destinations. The same document can be transmitted sequentially to up to 143
different destinations. This feature is convenient for transmitting the same document to
many different destinations.
It eliminates the need to repeat procedures when performing a fax distribution, increasing
productivity and reducing the amount of time required performing this activity. It also can
reduce the wear made by feeding the document since the machine needs to scan it once
only.

5.3 Mailbox TX
Overview of the Mailbox TX function
Mailbox TX lets the machine transmit a document confidentially to a particular person. It
is convenient when you want to send a confidential or private document to a particular
person without allowing any other people to read it.
A mailbox transmission is initiated only after the ID entered on the transmitting end
matches the mailbox ID on the receiving end. This ensures that a confidential document
will not be transmitted to the wrong person.
The transmitted document is stored in the mailbox of the memory built in the receiving
fax machine.
Unless the receiving end reenters the previously programmed mailbox ID, it is unable to
print the data stored in the built-in memory. This means that only the particular person or
persons who know the mailbox ID at the receiving party can print the document.
NOTE:
The following conditions must be met for Mailbox TX.
• The machine on the receiving end is either Di151, MINOLTAFAX 2600,3600.
• The receiving party must programmed at least one mailbox ID for the mailbox
function before the transmitting part use Mailbox TX.
• The transmitting party knows the mailbox ID of the receiving fax machine.

2.SPEED DIAL
You can program 100 speed dial locations, then transmit your documents quickly and easily
by pressing the Speed-Dial key with a Speed-Dial number.
3.GROUP DIAL
Destinations registered in One-Touch Dial keys, Speed Dial keys and the Phone Book can
be registered together as a Group in a Group Dial key. This feature then allows you to
transmit a document to all destinations in one group with a single operation. If you
frequently send the same document to multiple destinations, register these destinations into
a Group Dial key. Up to 27 Groups can be registered.
4.PROGRAM DIAL
Several transmission functions can be pre-programmed in some of the One-Touch keys.
This allows a multiple step operation to be registered in a single key. For example, a single
key can be set up to Broadcast to designated locations at a preset time. This reduces the
time necessary for jobs that are frequently repeated.

5.BATCH TX
One Touch Dial key can be pre-programmed with Batch TX time. This allows multi jobs
are transmitting at the same time by one transmission.
6. HEADER
Sends the receiving destination your name, fax number, and other data for a document
transmitted.
This information is printed at the top of each page. This lets the receiving party identify
where the document came from, when it came in and how many pages it was.
6. CLOSED NETWORK
Limits the parties from which you can receive a document to only those registered for One
Touch Dial, Speed Dial, and Phone Book. When this feature is turned ON, you can no
longer receive a document from any party that has not been registered in One Touch Dial,
Speed Dial, or Phone Book. This provides a meaning of controlling reception of documents
through the fax machine.
8. FOOTER
Prints on each page of the received document the name, date, time, communication number
and page number of the received document. By printing an Activity Report using the
Session number, you can identify where the document came from. This feature provides a
means of controlling reception of documents through the fax machine.
