Abstract
Philippines has become the third largest contributor of plastic in Southeast Asia
(Porcalla, 2018). Disposal of plastic has been the number one problem in our
community and recycling is one of our best option. This study utilize (High Density
Polyethylene) HDPE and (Low Density Polyethylene) LDPE plastic to produce a quality
and durable product to replace glass. Plastic is more affordable than glass. This inspires
the researcher to pursue a study that promotes clean and green environment. Plastic
trash were collected Kidapawan City National High School and the community where
the researcher belong. Plastics were cut, flattened, then arranged and inserted into
wooden window frames. Quality (appearance) of product was determined through
survey from carpenters, engineers, and prospect buyers. Durability was tested using
varied weights. Data revealed that window with LDPE and HDPE plastics were more
durable compared to glass window. Survey revealed that the appearance of glass
window is better compared to plastic. However, ANOVA revealed no significant
difference in the score of appearance given by the respondents to the three treatments
(T1-LDPE, T2-HDPE, T3-glass) used in the study. This study proved that LDPE and
HDPE plastic bottles is an effective window glass replacement and is comparable to the
existing glass window which is sold in higher price in the market.

Introduction
The highest advantage plastic have over glass is superior resistance to
breakage. High density polyethylene is economical, impact resistant and provides a
good moisture barrier while low density polyethylene
Polyethylene terephalate provides a very good alcohol and essential oil barrier
products properties, generally good chemical resistance and tensile strength. Polyvinyl
chloride that is found on plastics has extremely good resistance to oils and has very low
oxygen transmission. It also provides an excellent barrier to most gases and its drop
impact resistance is also very good. Plastic also contains polypropylene that
strengthens stability at high temperature and polystyrene that offers excellent clarity and
stiffness.

This study aims to utilize plastic bottles, LDPE and HDPE, as a replacement to
glass for the purpose of recycling and produce a product that has economical
advantage to the existing glass window.

The statements of the problem are the following:

 What are the qualities of the window with LDPE, and HDPE plastic
bottles?
 Is window with LDPE and HDPE plastic bottles comparable to the glass
window?
 Is there a significant difference among the treatments used in the study?

This study aims to test the effectiveness of plastic bottles as window glass
replacement using accessible materials, simple methods, and attaining significant
results. The study aims to present reliable evidences for future studies to be conducted
similar to this problem. The null hypothesis of the study is:
 There is no significant difference among the treatments of LDPE and HDPE
plastic bottle window used in the study.

Limitations on the Research Design and Material

In this study, the battery only has a capacity of 36v and 2.2 Ah which is
not recommendable for a long-lasting power. The researcher aims to use a
battery with a capacity of 10Ah above in order to have a long-lasting power.
There is also a need to improve the design of the device to make it more
convenient and appealing.

Hoverboard

Hoverboards, or self-balancing electric scooters, use a combination of

advanced materials and technology for propulsion and balance. This includes
high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, powerful electric motors, and gyroscopic
sensors that ensure stability and control (Li et al., 2018). Integrating
hoverboard materials into electric bikes offers several potential advantages. The
high-performance electric motors used in hoverboards may enhance the speed
and torque capabilities of e-bikes, providing a more dynamic riding experience
(Yin et al., 2017). The gyroscopic technology that enables hoverboards to
balance could also be applied to electric bikes. This may enhance stability,
especially at low speeds or when carrying heavy loads (Yan et al., 2016).

Electric bikes

E-bikes utilize a combination of components, including electric motors,

batteries, controllers, and sensors. The electric motor assists riders by
providing additional power during pedaling, and the energy is typically stored
in lithium-ion batteries. These components work together to enhance the
rider's experience and make cycling more accessible (Deng, et al., 2019). E-
bikes also provide a green transportation option, reducing reliance on fossil
fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions (Fishman, et al., 2015). E-bikes
have the potential to reduce the environmental impact of transportation.
Studies have shown that e-bikes produce significantly lower emissions
compared to traditional cars and motorcycles, contributing to improved air
quality and reduced noise pollution (TNO, 2017).
Carbon Dioxide

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless and odorless greenhouse gas that is

naturally present in the Earth's atmosphere. However, excessive levels of CO2
emissions resulting from human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels,
deforestation, and industrial processes, have contributed to global warming
and climate change. By adopting hoverboard materials and technology in e-
bikes, which often include high-performance electric motors and lithium-ion
batteries, there is potential to further decrease CO2 emissions compared to
conventional vehicles (Zhang, et al., 2021). Lithium-ion batteries are known for
their relatively low environmental impact and energy efficiency (Scrosati &
Garche, 2010).
