The following data was obtained from a particular community survey in 2023.

Population estimate as at 10th July 2023 - 880,840


Women of child bearing age – 240,160
Population of males – 120,400
Population of females – 450,100

Live births - 20,000


Death from maternal cause – 150
Deaths under 1 year of age – 250
Deaths due to pregnancy – 520
Death (8 -28 days) – 100
Deaths (0- 7 days) - 150
Deaths (1 – 10 months) - 400
Still births – 50
Death due to PPH - 240
Deaths due to pneumonia (Children 1- 4 yrs) – 1000
Homicide related deaths among males – 6,000
Homicide related deaths among females – 2,500
Deaths attributed to accidents (unintentional injuries) - 5400

Using the above data, calculate the following:

(a) Crude Death rate.


(b) Crude birth rate
(c) Infant mortality rate.
(d) Late neonatal mortality rate
(e) Perinatal mortality rate
(f) Post neonatal mortality rate

(g) Maternal mortality rate.


(h) Maternal mortality ratio
(i) Child mortality rate
(j) Homicide-related death rates for males and for females.
(k) Cause specific mortality attributed to accidents
(l) The ratio of homicide-mortality rates for males compared to females
