INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEM FOR RUBBER CURING APPLICATION

By
Eltech Electrodesigns and Energy Systems Pvt Ltd
Rubber products are becoming so popularise resulting in increasing the product demand. For
curing the rubber, the energy required for the same is so high, that it is basic requirement to
upgrade the production process which will also improve the energy efficiency.
Induction heating is the process of heating a metal by Electromagnetic Radiation, the heat
generated in the object is either by Eddy Current or Hysteresis. An induction system consists
of a coil and a high-frequency power converter generating an Alternating Current (AC)
through the electromagnetic coil. This heating method is a selective and core heating
technique.
Due to these features the method if very energy efficient.
Following are the benefits of the contactless heating technology:
 Increase in production capacity due to the reduction in cycle time.
 Reduction in heat generation to make space comfort for working.
 Operator moral improvement.
 Safe material handling
 Minimum material movement.
 Saving:
 Power – Minimum 30% energy savings
 Cycle time
 Man power
 Reduction of use of fossil fuels
 Standalone system can be operated based upon the production schedule, maintenance
or material/ chemical composition R&D
 In-built diagnostics, data collection and analysis
 Robust and Reliable design with safety
 Uniform Heating
 No direct contact with any heating area that ensures long life of coil – Low
maintenance
