PHINMA University of Iloilo's College of Allied At the 6th Inter-high School Skills Competition,

PHINMA UNIVERSITY OF ILOILO ACTS FOR CLEANER
WATERFRONT BARANGAYS
PHINMA University of Iloilo, College of Arts and Sciences, recently spearheaded a cleanup initiative
in seven waterfront barangays within the City Proper to promote community development and
environmental stewardship. Students and faculty members, guided by the university's National Service
Training Program, particularly the CWTS Component, actively participated in the event. The
municipality received significant support from Mayor Jerry Treñas and the Iloilo City Government,
ensuring the smooth execution of the cleanup in Barangays Concepcion Montes, Gen. Hughes-Montes,
Maria Clara, Muelle Loney-Montes, Ortiz, Santo Rosario Duran, and Zamora-Melliza. The Barangay
Captains, Councils, and Tanods also played crucial roles, highlighting a collaborative approach
towards community growth and environmental sustainability. Through this endeavor, PHINMA
University of Iloilo showcased its commitment to fostering environmental awareness and responsible
citizenship. Let's continue to preserve and safeguard our environment, knowing that every little effort
