 Data collection

In the data collected, it was stated that 55.6% of students believed that YouTube could
develop their listening in English. 50% of students also said that YouTube can influence their
hearing in learning to listen by listening to news, films, podcasts, and anything that can develop
their hearing through YouTube. 43% of students also said that listening to YouTube was very
effective for learning to listen during class. Students can understand more easily if they listen to
English on YouTube while in class.
 Data analysis
Data analysis shows that educational videos on YouTube can develop students' listening.
Utilizing YouTube in developing students' listening is one of the best ways to improve students'
listening skills. YouTube is also more effective because its use can be freer without any
distinctions or restrictions such as gender, age and education level. According to students,
listening to and watching educational films on YouTube can keep students entertained and
interested.

In conclusion, there is no difference of opinion between male and female students.
Using educational videos on YouTube can develop students' understanding of listening and can
prevent students from getting bored easily. Students' abilities can develop rapidly when they
listen to educational videos on YouTube. It is highly recommended that videos on YouTube be
used in class.
