in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Dr. Jorge P. Royeca Hospital. As a recent
graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), I am eager to begin my
career in critical care and contribute to the exceptional care provided at esteemed
hospitals.

During my nursing program, I developed a strong foundation in medical-surgical

nursing principles and gained valuable clinical experience through rotations in
various settings. However, my passion for providing critical care was particularly
ignited during my 2-week rotation in the ICU at General Santos Doctors Hospital.
This experience exposed me to the complex needs of critically ill patients and the
dynamic nature of the ICU environment. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the
interdisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nurses,
while providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients.

Throughout my education, I honed my skills in:

Assessment: performing comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs

monitoring, physical examination, and interpretation of medical data.

Critical thinking: analyzing patient data, anticipating potential complications, and

collaborating with the healthcare team to develop effective care plans.
Communication: effectively communicating with patients, families, and other
healthcare professionals, maintaining empathy and clarity in stressful situations.

Technical skills: operating medical equipment, administering medications, and

following aseptic technique to ensure patient safety.

Time management and prioritization: effectively managing multiple tasks and

prioritizing patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

I am highly motivated, a quick learner, and possess a strong work ethic. I am

confident that my academic foundation, clinical experience, and dedication to patient
care align perfectly with the values and requirements of the ICU unit. I am eager to
learn from experienced nurses and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare team
while continuously improving my skills and knowledge in critical care nursing.
