Articles a, an & the
Articles worksheet: Using 'a', 'an' or 'the' in sentences
Articles are used before nouns and are a type of adjective. The definite article:
the, is used before a noun to indicate that the noun is known to the reader.
The indefinite articles: a - an, are used before a noun that is general or not
known.

In his early years Hazrat Mohammad (SAW) was a
successful Merchant. Yet he lived a simple life. His
wife Aisha said that many Months passed when
they could not light a fire to cook a meal. We had
only to take dates and water. Our Prophet (SAW)
always spended the simple life. He always did little
chores alongside other members of family. He
milked the goat, mended his clothes repaired his
own shoes and helped with household duties. He
always helps the poor and needy. These examples
show us that a family can live a simple life and we
always help the poor, needy and neighbors.
