2, Showing differences
 We can use very, really, completely, or totally with different from
Ex: They may be twins, but they are completely different from each other
3, Showing small differences
 We can use slightly, a little, a bit, a little bit, or not much with comparative adjectives
Ex: - The number of registrations has been slightly lower than we expected
- Houses in my city aren’t not much more expensive than flats
 We can use almost, nearly, not quite, roughly, more or les or about with as…. as and the same as
Ex: - She is almost as old as I am
- The figures for May are more or less/ the same as…. for June
 We can use very or really with similar to
Ex: My son looks really similar to my father when he was that age.
4, Comparatives and superlatives
 Comparatives: much, far, a lot, any, rather, a little, a bit, even, a great deal, considerably,
somewhat
 Superlatives: much, by far, quite, almost, easily, etc
 As…as can be modified with even, bit, nearly, almost, half, twice, three times, etc
5, Special
 Easily = by far
 A great deal of + a lot of/ + so sánh hơn
Ex: She is feeling a good deal better
 By far + so sánh nhất
 Far and away + so sánh nhất
EX: She is far and away the cleverest student in the class.
