BYCYCLE USE PROPOSAL IN MARA CITY TOURISM

AREA
A. PRELIMINARY

Since 2006, the construction of the kotamara was built by Mr. Amirul as the mayor at
that time. This development cost around 90 billion. This is the largest reclamation island
in Southeast Sulawesi.
One of the destinations that you can visit while in Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi. In
Kotamara, visitors will be presented with a dazzling sunset that spoils the eyes with
views of Baubau City Bay. They can pamper their tongue on the beach with typical
Baubau food and drinks such as saraba, banana epe and suludambere. People also do
activities such as running casually, as well as swimming and rowing. As the years go by,
the population and transportation are increasing, making Kotamara one of the densest
areas and a tourist focus in the city of Baubau
In an effort to make Kotamara a smooth and comfortable tourist area, the government
always builds and develops a safe and accessible transportation system that is easy
and of course cheap for the community.
The peak of the crowd is usually in the afternoon and with car free day activities every
weekday on Sunday, it should make people start to realize that they are using bicycles
because sometimes with a large population, the use of transportation increases,
especially motorbikes and cars, this is not proportional to the width of the road. which is
in Kotamara.
Thus the introduction given, hopefully this will be a good start to make the
transportation system in this tourist area even better without significant obstacles.
B. ACTIVITY NAME
"Transition to the use of bicycles in the tourism area of Kotamara, Baubau, Southeast
Sulawesi"
 C. ACTIVITY THEME
" The increasing population of motorized vehicles has made the Kotamara tourist
area increasingly denser and has led to irregularities resulting in gaps between visitors
coupled with the density of traders so that the area has become denser.
Therefore a solution is provided for the use of relaxed bicycles when they want to
enter this area so as not to create pollution and high density, with that, visitors can
create comfortably and free from the danger of motorized vehicles and traffic can run
smoothly, visitors can rent bicycles rented out by service providers so that this also
benefits the local community.”
D. DESTINATION
Vision : To develop a comfortable, well-organized tourist area

Mission : Managing culinery area, set up bicycle parking area,managing visitor

registration system efficiently

D. METHOD
There are several ways to support this plan:
1. Special warning signs for cyclists are given
2. Enforcing entry tickets prevents illegal visitors
3. Coordinate with the government
4. Make a plan for making special roads for cyclists

E. CURRENT NEEDS
What is needed at this time is an area that needs to be rearranged, then planning costs
are needed for how much to procure bicycles that will be rented out or visitors can bring
their personal bicycles. Not only that, it is also necessary at this time to procure
supporting signs to provide information to visitors.
On the other hand, there must be research in advance regarding the arrangement of
areas where pedestrians, traders and other supporting infrastructure facilities are
needed. The government will also continue to socialize especially related offices in
achieving this plan.
 F. MONITORING AND EVALUATION
With monitoring and evaluation, this will become a form of checking tool in the field
about whether the people like it or not, then instead of that every 2 months the
government and managers must carry out what is called monitoring, this is to maintain
the continuity of what has been made, such as maintenance or maintenance so that
people still feel what has been voiced by residents who will later visit the city of Mara.

These two things, monitoring and evaluation function to maintain a balance between
what is built by the government and will the community enter a new character by visiting
and caring for what has been made in 1-5 pages.
