Step 1: DETERMINE FOOD BUDGET

The family decided to allot-500/day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of 3 adults. All are
working, and they usually eat their breakfast and dinner at home. They prefer to bring their lunch at
work to save money.

Step 2: DETERMINE DIETARY NEEDS OF YOUR FAMILY

They often refer to “Pinggang Pinoy” to help them about portion size and amount of food they need to
consume for a day.

Step 3: WRITE LIST OF FOODS PREFERRED BY YOUR FAMILY

The family were able to list their favorite meals for one week. (Please refer to the table below)

STEP 4: WRITE WEEKLY PLAN

The family preferred to cook a one dish meal to save time and money. The following are their favorites:
Chicken Tinola, Fish Sinigang and pork afritada. (Please see table below for other dishes planned by the
family).

The family decided to include their 3 favorite dishes EVERY Monday:
