Requirements:

Graduate of a recognized health record information management program

Active CHIMA membership

Minimum five years DAD and NACRS coding experience using ICD-10/CCI and current knowledge of CIHI
coding standards

Computerized abstracting experience; WINRECS preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CIHI coding queries, Meditech and eHIM

Ability to apply data quality practices and standards to coding and abstracting functions

Introduction

Hello Mr. John,

Thank you for your time to interview me today. First of all, I would like to introduce myself and my
background. My name is Loc and I come from Vietnam. I graduated /ˈɡrædʒueɪtɪd/ from Health
Information Management program at Fleming college in May 2023. Additionally, I also possessed /pə
ˈzest/ an active membership of Canadian health information management association since Oct 2023.
Therefore, my competency /ˈkɒmpɪtənsi/ in performing duties of a health information specialist is
recognized by Canadian health information management association. Moreover /mɔːrˈəʊvə(r)/, I
learned and developed many important soft skills such as problem-solving skills and time management
skills when working as a marketer for pharmaceutical companies in Vietnam. So, with my profound /prə
ˈfaʊnd/ knowledge on applying ICD-10/CCI to code and abstract /ˈæbstrækt/ electronic health
records as well as essential skills that I have developed, I am confident that I can excellently finish all
tasks of this position and contributing /ˈkɒntrɪbjuːtɪŋ/ to your company’s success in the future.
