“My Task in our Home”

Mopping the floor- to put it simply, you should mop the floor when it looks dirty and to

prevent germs in your house. This may be done every once or twice a week. My parents

suggest using doormats at each entry doors to keep floors cleaner for longer time duration.

How do I mop? Before I start mopping the floor, I will sweep the floor first. After that, I

will grab a bucket then fill half of it with water. Next is I will wash the mop with soap and rinse.

Then, that is the time that I start mopping our floor. While mopping, I will turn on the electric fan

so that the floor will dry easily. I make sure that my feet are clean, and I tell my siblings and my
parents to walk carefully and do not run around because they might slip and get a bruise or

might get injured.

Then while I’m mopping, I move the direction of the electric fan to the spot that I just

finished mopping. From time to time, I wash the mop with clean water to ensure that the floor is

clean. Next is I will check if the floor is already dry then I will put the mop under the sun to let it

dry. Lastly, I wash my hands to prevent germs and dirt on my hands. This is my task at home

and I am happy that I can help my family.
