Hello Kinder families….

What an amazing spirit week we had! The participation from

students was great and the food donations were plentiful. A big thank
you to families for everything you did to make this week special. I feel
like kindergarten is in the running for the pizza party!

Your littles are very close to being first graders, it goes fast.
Twenty-seven learning days left. Things we have added to our math
learning this week are 3D shapes. Cones, sphere, cube, cylinder, and
rectangular prism. We are moving along in literacy. So many of the
children are reading fluently with little to no help. Please practice
reading the decodables at home for extra practice. We are currently
working on long vowels and how the silent (but bossy) e makes the vowel
say its name.

Please please please send water bottles with your children to

school. We had a parent donate six barrow water bottles for the class
and they are used up daily with others that still don’t have a water
bottle to drink from. We do not have a working water fountain in our
classroom. Let’s work together to keep these children hydrated.

Our next main lesson theme is fairies. We will be using our

imaginations to build a community fairy garden as well as many other
fun learning opportunities. If you have a favorite fairy story or
activity, please reach out and let us know.

Spring festival is May 22, 6pm at Marshfield auditorium. No

school on May 27, in observation of memorial day.

Heart words to practice on the back 
