Philosophy of Education

Education is the foundation for inspiration and success. Each year of education builds a
stronger foundation that helps guide and create a path for the future. I believe that students need
guidance to show them their true potential and to be taught all the possible options they have
access to. Educators should uplift and build confidence in their students, therefore making them
aware of their success and resources. Also, education is fundamental in gaining crucial skills for
life and supporting a healthy society. The more educated a person is the more opportunities will
flourish resulting in a high-functioning individual. Every element of education is beneficial in
being successful in life and gaining knowledge of how to support oneself.

I know that students learn best when they are in a safe and supportive environment.
Students often are not successful in places that they are uncomfortable and makes education a
stressful experience. On the other hand, when a teacher works to make all students feel welcome
and instills confidence among students, it encourages them to do better. Education should only
be a place for growth, and students need this guidance. Guidance includes rules and hard work,
but it also relates to emotional support from mentors. When educators work to meet the personal
needs of each student, it allows for the most room for growth within their students. Positive
environment, support, and guidance are when students learn best.

A supportive learning environment is one in which the students are comfortable and have
access to all the necessary resources needed to be successful. Teachers and staff are a big part of
each student's support system and when they can trust them, they learn better. Their peers and
those around them also play a big part in how students learn. It is crucial for educators to know
how to maintain a positive and healthy environment among their peers. Students often are a
product of their environment and making sure the class is beneficial ensures the success of each
student. Also making sure it is a place for learning and growth where the students feel safe to
make mistakes. Every person has their own personal journey and needs to know that it will be
filled with up and downs. Educators should know how to uplift and maintain a productive and
healthy environment.

I believe that teachers should have the following qualities patience, flexibility,
thoughtfulness, and passion. Every teacher must know how to be patient and flexible in their
students and daily classroom life. Not everything will go according to plan and understanding
how to work through this is crucial. This is important too because every student is different and
has a personal way of doing things, so teachers must adapt to what works best for themselves and
their students. Being thoughtful and passionate is crucial in creating a safe and comfortable
environment for students. When students know that you are understanding and have a want to be
there students will put more effort forward. The teachers' attitude often dictates to the students
and knowing how to show up in a positive manner makes a huge difference to the students. It
sets an example and motivates the class to be their best.

Finally, teachers should assess their practice by reaching out and taking advantage of all
available resources. Teacher networks and working with educators are very important in
improving and expanding on ideas. Seeking out resources and being able to make the best of
what you have makes you resourceful and improves the standard of your classroom. Also,
educators should always work towards becoming better versions of themselves because there is
always room for improvement. These small changes will make a huge difference in the
environment and rate at which the students learn. This sets an example for the students who will
know that there is always room for improvement within themselves and makes them see the
humanity within their teachers.
