Weekly progress report 7

► Domain of Project: Assembly line Simulation

❖ Project objective of this week:

1 .Currently working on creating simulation of virtual systems


and currently starting simulation of the cad parts.

2. Understanding the tech: we had understood what


technology use for this work station also simulation of it.

3. Identify the work: we have to make assembly line simulation


of all three work station and we starting from small parts.

In end of this week it was done some cad model


simulation by plc programming but there are some models not
simulate properly because of its not in separate so it simulate
whole model not only its desire part but also whole parts of the
body. Then move on next theory of flipper process in
workstation 1.

 Flipper process in workstation 1

It was done logic on the flipper process in workstation 1.here it


is provide the screen shot of the 2D drawing for built the logic
(plc) of this process.
This is the front view of this system and described below
the whole process of this system. Below the figure of the top
view.
In this process there are 4 pneumatic cylinders are used in that
each one for different purpose it described below.
Here take 4 cylinder and give name A,B,C,D, cylinders and there
work is

Cylinder A : Pallet stopper cylinder to hold the pallet from


bottom of the pallet
Cylinder B : Pallet holder cylinder that hold the pallet from
top
Cylinder C : Pallet lock holder
Cylinder D : Flipper engage slide cylinder to connect motor
with pallet body.
There is one motor also used for rotating part 90 degree which
attached in pallet.

Process:
First when pallet comes in front of sensor then the process will
start but here it is using start stop button in place of sensor,
then the cylinder A and cylinder B were extend for holding the
pallet and then cylinder C extend for holding the lock and then
the flipper slide extend after some time and attach the motor
for rotating the part 90 degree for scanning and also the
cylinder C retracts, after scanning the cylinder D, A, B also
retracts. And pallet move on.

It was learn some this kind of process and try to do the


simulate it. Here the simulation process is described below,

The logic of this process, here use timers in place of scanner


and also used timer for motor that rotate 90 degree.
And the simulation cylinder screen shot is below and there
were shared link below of simulation video and file of the
project.

 Forward reverse motor by electric circuit :

Next project about forward and reverse motor that used in


simulation that used for rotate part.

Here its screen shot of the process with connection and also
attach it with HMI screen, two buttons for forward and reverse
and one stop button.
Three phase motor connect with line voltage.

 Plan for next week :

It will doing some simulation based work on next


week. It about the cad model simulation and doing
some interesting simulation of cad model parts and
after this week starting simulation of workstation 1 cad
simulation. The work is done for now.
