5 Area Preparation
Personal injury ➢ Work area shall be provided with barricades and appropriate warning signs. Engineer/Supervisor

➢ All tools and equipment shall be inspected and color coded. Only tools and equipment in good
working condition shall be used at site.
➢ All required 3rd party certifications of equipment and operators shall be ready at the work site. SAG
license is required for the drivers.
➢ Close supervision of work is required during the whole duration of any site preparation and
earthworks activities.
➢ All personnel required to work at heights more than 6ft must use safety harness must be trained in
the use and inspection of their harness.
➢ Worker must carry the card which ensure that he has attended the training for working at heights.
➢ Ensure workers are wearing appropriate full body harness and tie-off 100%.

➢ A yellow scaffold means workers can access the scaffold but it requires wearing of full body harness
