GE will soon be ending NDB Explorer support for older versions of Windows
such as Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 as well as support for the x86 processor
architecture. Please upgrade to at least Windows 10 and x64.

Please remember that GE databases are OFP specific. Therefore, if you upgrade your FMS hardware or
software, your existing database will not be compatible. Please contact Jeppesen immediately upon
upgrading your OFP hardware or software. Notifying Jeppesen will ensure timely delivery and compatibility
of your database with the new OFP.

GE FMS – Data Release Notice Cycle 2404
Please look at the situation(s) below and take note if your database has been affected so that you
may advise your crew accordingly.

Airbus OFPs versions Release 1A (A1A.0) and S7/T5 (A1A.1) can erroneously auto-tune (as displayed on the RAD
NAV page) the wrong GLS or MLS facility. The issue will ONLY present itself in the case whereby GLS or MLS facility
data has changed (added/deleted/modified) between cycles in a given NDB. For more details, please reference
Airbus OEB-49 and OEB-50. Flight Crew standard operating procedures typically include verification of all auto-
tuned frequencies or channel numbers. GE suggests that this verification procedure step be emphasized as a part
of the customer communication. The affected runways and customers are listed below:

Subject: Removal of Approaches with 0.00 Descent Angle (VDA)

GE CUSTOMERS ONLY

Due to state provided source information, some approach procedures are coded with a 0.00 descent angle
(VDA). As a result, approach procedures that contain a 0.00 descent angle (VDA) and have a MAP at or
before the runway threshold have been removed from GE databases in Cycle 2404 (Effective 18 April
2024). The list of affected approaches is below.

THEREFORE, USE CAUTION WHEN OPERATING INTO THE LISTED LOCATIONS/AIRPORTS AS


APPROACHES MAY HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM YOUR DATABASE.
