MALIA KATE

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Malia Locarnini and I am currently a junior attending Ripon High School.
Throughout my years in high school I have had many new experiences and opportunities to
grow as a person and pursue my passions. I am involved in many activities at my school
including sports, clubs, yearbook, and additional academic programs. I work hard in
everything I do and constantly strive to be the best version of myself.

I am involved in many sports at Ripon High including cross country, soccer, and swim. In the
fall I run cross country which I have found a great passion for since starting high school. I
have experienced great adversity throughout my seasons and have learned to overcome
unexpected obstacles. Participating in sports for my school has allowed me to create
amazing friendships and grow in ways I otherwise would not have.

Outside of my high school, I enjoy playing for the West Coast 07 Girls Soccer team,
volunteering at church, babysitting, and spending time with my family and friends. High
school mixed with outside events and activities has allowed me to learn skills such as
prioritization, communication, and organization.

I have been a part of the Yearbook program at Ripon High since I was a freshman and have
loved being able to create something memorable for the whole student body to enjoy.
Yearbook has taught me many life skills such as marketing, design, communication, and
collaboration.

Academically I have also been very engaged, taking several AP and Honors courses
throughout the years. These classes have helped me learn valuable life skills such as time
management, leadership, and hard work.
