Project Related Important Information


TOPIC: Prevention of Accidents on Indian Highways

Overview:

As a responsible corporate IDFC First Bank believes in contributing to the welfare of the society
and as a part of this has initiated to engage with various management institutes to bring forth
new ideas and viable solutions on addressing the critical issue of road accidents in India. The
students will have to submit comprehensive and practical solutions in the form of the Project
Report titled as “Prevention of Accidents on Indian Highways.”

Objectives:

1. To bring forth new and innovative ideas on prevention of road accidents.


2. To help increase awareness among the public regarding road safety practices.
3. Identify and address critical road infrastructure issues contributing to accidents.
4. Explore innovative technologies to enhance overall road safety.

Scope:

1. The project to focus on nationwide scale addressing critical road safety issues.
2. The project can include but not limited to various types of roads like national
highways, state highways, urban and rural roads.
3. The target audience mainly but not limited to vehicle drivers (Both Personal and
Commercial), Pedestrians, auto manufacturers, relevant govt authorities responsible for
road infrastructure.

Deliverables:

1. Viable technology tool to help prevent road accidents.


2. New enhancements in road infrastructure to prevent accidents.
3. Innovative solution for traffic management.

Prize Money:

1. First Prize - Rs 2,00,000.


2. Second Prize - Rs 1,00,000.
3. Third Prize - Rs 50,000.
Terms and Conditions

1. All the submitted ideas/solutions must be original and entirely the work of participant
groups.
2. Plagiarism in whole or in part, will result in disqualification.
3. IDFC First Bank reserves the right to employ plagiarism detection tools to verify the
originality of submitted ideas/solutions.
4. The names of the registered groups and the final shortlisted ones would be informed.
5. Participants retain full ownership and intellectual property rights of the submitted
ideas/solutions. However, by submitting, participants grant a non -exclusive, royalty free
license to use, reproduce and publish the ideas/solutions for promotional and other
purposes.
6. By submitting an idea/solution, participants acknowledge and accept these terms and
conditions.
7. Final decision on the shortlisted and winning teams would rest with IDFC First Bank.
