2. Dharani

• S

• Objective:
• New Integrated Land Records Management System ("Dharani") that
combines Land administration and Registration services
• Significance:
• Dharani also provides GIS system which provides visual representation of
the land record data.

3. Kanti Velugu

• Launched on: 15th August, 2018


• Started by: CM KCR
• Place: Malkapur in Medak district.
• Objective:
– “avoidable blindness-free” status by conducting a Comprehensive and
Universal Eye Screening for the entire population of the State

4. 'Rythu Bandhu' Scheme (Investment Support Scheme)

• Started on: May 10,2018


• Started by: KCR
• Started at: Dharmarajupalle- Indiranagar (Huzurabad mandal)
Karimnagar district.
• Objective: To enhance agriculture productivity and income to the farmers
• Scheme details:
– Grant of Rs. 5,000 per acre per season for purchase of inputs like
Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Labour and other investments twice a year,
for Rabi (Yasangi) and Kharif (Rainy) seasons.

• This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, where the
cash is paid directly.
• Give it off : Awareness program to voluntarily leave the program.
• Awards:
– Skoch award
– Listed in UNO’s top 20 farmers development schemes along with Rythu
Bheema scheme.

5. Rythu Bhima(Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme)

• Announced on: August 15,2018


• First implemented in: Sircilla District.
• Objective:
– Financial relief and social security to the family members/ dependents,
in case of loss of farmer’s life due to any reason.
• Eligible age group:
– 18 to 59 years

• Scheme details:
1. Insured amount: Rs. 5.00 Lakhs is deposited into the designated nominee
account within 10 days.
2. The farmers have to pay no premium.
3. The government pays a premium of Rs.3556 per year per person.
4. The insurance is not valid once the farmer crosses 60 years of age.
5. Applicable only to small and marginal farmers doing agriculture in their
own lands with patta passbooks.

6. KCR Kit

• Launched on: 3 June 2017


• Launched by: Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao
• Objective: To improve the health of new born child and mother.
• Scheme details:
1. Pregnant women can utilize this scheme for maximum 2 deliveries.
2. Women who give birth at a government hospital can utilize this
scheme.
3. Pregnant women will be provided with financial assistance of Rs.
12,000 in three phases.
4. In case of a baby girl, an additional Rs. 1000 will be given by the
government.

7. Mission Kakatiya
• Launched on: March 12,2015
• Launched by: KCR
• Launched at: Sadasivanagar, Yallareddy mandal, Kamareddy district.
• Objective:
– To restore around 46,000 tanks in five years to provide irrigation
source to about 25 lakh acres spending Rs 22,000 crore.

• Mission Kakatiya is aimed at:
1. Improving the ground water table,
2. Reducing the power consumption by farm sector,
3. Getting higher yields,
4. Spurring the growth of livestock and
5. Rejuvenating rural economy on a whole.
• 2016: Geo-tagging of every tank is done
• Achievements:
• 1st place in Integrated Water Management Index by NITI Aayog in water
restoration category.

8. Mission Bhagiratha

• Launched by: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi


• Launched on: 6 August 2016.
• Launched at: Komatibanda village, Medak district in Gajwel
constituency
• Objective: No female member of a household would need to walk miles
to carry a pot of water.
• Scheme details:
– 1.30 lakh km stretch of pipelines would be laid to towns and villages
apart from providing water for the industrial needs.

• Estimated cost: Rs 35,000 crore
1. Rural areas: 100 litres per capita per day (LPCD) to every household
2. Municipalities: 135 LPCD
3. Municipal corporations: 150 LPCD
• The Krishna and Godavari rivers and existing reservoirs will be interlinked
to collect, reserve and supply treated drinking water in the state
• By end of 2021,Telangana became one of the first states (along with
Haryana & Goa) with 100% functional tap connection in all rural areas.

9. Haritha Haram

• Launched on: 3 July 2015


• Launched at: Chilkur (RR district).
• Launched by: Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr K. Chandrashekar Rao
• Objective:
– To increase the present 24% tree cover in the State to 33% of the
total geographical area of the State.
• The National Forest Policy of India envisages a minimum of 33% of the
total geographical area under forest cover to maintain environmental
stability and ecological balance.
• 3rd largest plantation program in the world (1st in China and 2nd Brazil).

• In this program, it is proposed to plant and rejuvenate 230 crore seedlings
as follows:
– Outside Forests areas – 130 crores (including 10.00 Crores. in HMDA
and GHMC areas)
– 100 crores within Forest areas (20.00 Crores through plantations and
80.00) Crores through rejuvenation.
• Local bodies will give 10% green budget for plantation.
• Recognition:
– FAO “Tree city of the world 2020” to Hyderabad.

10. Kalyana Lakshmi/ Shaadi Mubarak

• Implemented from: October 2, 2014 (from 2016 to BC & EBCs too)


• Objective:
– To alleviate financial distress of SC/ST and minority, BC and EBC
families
• Scheme details:
– 1. One-time financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,116 (2018 onwards) at the
time of marriage for brides who are residents of Telangana State.
– 2. For unmarried girls, who have completed 18 years of age at the time of
marriage and whose parental income does not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per
annum.
– 3. Final scrutiny by MRO, finally approved by local MLA.

11. Arogya Lakshmi

• Telangana government provides one nutritious meal every day to


pregnant and lactating women and children below the age of six through
Anganwadi centers.
• The scheme was launched officially on January 1, 2015 by Honorable Chief
Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao.
• For the women, 200 ml of milk for 25 days a month and one egg each day
will be given with meal .
• Children, aged between seven months and three years are provided with
16 eggs a month in addition to a 2.5 kg food packet.
• For children aged between 3 and six years, one egg a day in addition to
rice, dal, vegetables and snacks is supplied.

• A total 18,96,844 lactating mothers, 5,18,215 infants and 21,58,479
pregnant women were covered under the scheme expending Rs 627.96
crore in the past year.
• The quantity of food items supplied under the scheme has also been
increased across all the categories.

Aasara pensions

• The pension scheme was started on 8 November 2014 by Chief Minister of


Telangana, K Chandrashekhar Rao in Kothur in Rangareddy district.
• As a part of its welfare measures and social safety net strategy, the
Telangana government has introduced the “ Aasara ” pensions, with a view to
ensure secured life with dignity for all the poor.
• ‘Aasara’ pension scheme is meant to protect the most vulnerable sections of
society in particular the old and infirm, people with HIV-AIDS, widows,
incapacitated weavers and toddy tappers, who have lost their means of
livelihood with growing age, in order to support their day to day minimum
needs required to lead a life of dignity and social security.

• From 2020-21 the government is providing Aasara pension of Rs. 2,016 to
senior citizens, widows, beedi workers, filaria victims, single women,
handloom weavers, toddy tappers and AIDS victims, and Rs. 3,016 for
disabled pensions.

Housing for the poor

• This initiative of the Telangana government is intended to provide quality


and respectable housing to the poor.
• The ‘housing for the poor’ plan provides for two and three storied buildings
with the 2 BHK flats in Hyderabad and other urban areas while they are to
be built as independent houses in rural areas.
• A pilot has been taken up at IDH Colony in Bhoidguda, Secunderabad. As
many as 396 units - with each comprising of two bedrooms, hall and kitchen -
are being constructed in 32 blocks of G+2 on 580 square yards at a cost of
Rs 37 crore at 7.9 lakh per each flat.

Land distribution to Dalits

• Announced by KCR at Golconda fort on August 15,2014


• A significant welfare scheme of the government that provides 3 acres of
agricultural land to landless SC women, along with the provision for
creation of irrigation facilities, land development and other agricultural
inputs for their sustained livelihood.
• Government distributed 2,524 acres of land to 959 Dalits spending Rs 94
crore in the first year.

SHE Teams

• Keeping rising incidents of crime against women in mind, the Telangana


government has constituted a seven member committee headed by IAS
officer Poonam Malakondaiah to advise it on the measures to be taken for
the safety and security of women and girls.
• The committee submitted its report with 77 recommendations.
• Forming SHE teams is one of them.
• The teams keep tab on the eve-teasers and stalkers in crowded places.
Initially set up in Hyderabad and Cyberabad police Commissionarates, they
were expanded to all the Telangana districts following the encouraging
results.​​

Sheep distribution
• The scheme was launched on 20 June 2017 by the Chief Minister of
Telangana, K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
• This scheme gave a quantum jump to the rural economy and is designed for
the upliftment of Yadava/Golla/Kuruma families who are approximately 4
lakhs in the state.
• Provision of financial support to these skilled families for rearing sheep on a
large scale will facilitate not only their economic development but also
facilitate production of sufficient meat in the state.
• Of the ₹1.25 lakhs cost per unit, the government provides 75% of the cost
and 25% is borne by the beneficiary.
• It is also targeted to make Telangana a hub for meat export in near future.

• The sheep breeds chosen are Nellore Brown (Dora), Nellore Jodipi (white
with black spots on face), Deccani and Madras Red.
• Eligibility:
• It is launched to support the traditional shepherd community, the Kurumas
and Yadavas in Telangana.
• Every person aged above 18 years from shepherd community eligible for the
scheme and is given a unit of sheet, which has 20 sheep and a ram.
