The 'Before Reading’ section offers students


an opportunity to use their own imagination and thoughts to
predict what the story will be about. Throughout these
activities, students will be able to broaden their creativity.

About the Author

Jean Little

A renown author of children's literature, Little is an


award-winning Canadian writer of over 50 books.
Little has written various novels, picture books, poetry,
and short stories and lived a dedicated life of teaching
and inspiring children. Particularly in books, such as
Mine for Keeps and From Anna, Little showed her passion
for children with disabilities and incoporated themes
about adoption and foster care. Even after her passing at
the age of 88, Little's works continue to encourage and
uplift children today.
