Subject: REQUEST CONDUCT OF WEBINAR

Dear Dr. Plantilla,

Greetings!

The College of Social Science in partnership with the College of Education shall hold a webinar
entitled, “West Philippine Sea or South China Sea: Analysis of Contradicting Contexts” on
May 3, 2024, 10:00 – 11:00 AM via an online platform as part of the student development
of URS Pililla campus and their requirements for the final examination as per submitted
syllabus in the subjects PSM 4 and SSE 108.

As an interdisciplinary webinar about the West Philippine Sea, it aims to offer historical, legal,
and contemporary political perspectives in their treatment of the subject. An expert on the topic
will be invited. Attached herewith is the Project Proposal providing the details of the said activity.

For this reason, may I respectfully request the approval of this webinar, and the authorization
of the payment of honorarium and food amounting to P2,500.00 and minimal cost for the
Windmill in promoting Pililla, Rizal. In the absence of financial funds from the University, may
concerned students organizations and the classes be allowed to source-out for the expenses
to be incurred subject to usual auditing of disbursements.
