ACTIVITY DESIGN

I. General Information:

Title : ECO FESTIVAL 2022

Time Covered : May, 2022

Venue : Matanao Central Elementary School

II. Rationale:

The Matanao Central Elementary School’s Eco Festival 2022, is a one-day

sustainability festival presented by the Youth for Environment in Schools
Organization (YES-O). This is a fun filled, educational and interactive engagement
activities.
Its main purpose is to educate the public on the importance of all aspects of
our environment and how our learners can go hand in hand with conservation
efforts.

This promotes and implements program/s activities aligned with the topics
and themes of YES-O showcases learner’s talents, knowledge, skills and their love
for the environment. It includes contests like Eco-TikTok Mo Challenge, Eco-Vlog,
Eco Litrato and Eco Couture.

This whole festival is free and can be very beneficial for anyone willing to
participate. This has an overall goal of creating life’s changes and awareness where
students gain in depth learning from peers, faculty and the community as well.
III. Objectives:

The Eco festival 2022 aims to

 promote situational, real-life and outdoor learning, to spur sustainable

practices in and outside the school;

 encourage young people to play a proactive role in the society;

 strengthen the Makakalikasan core value among learners; and

 provide avenue for learners to showcase and revitalize their commitment to

preserving and restoring the environment in a language most understood in

the present time and that is through TikToK, Vlog, etc.

IV. Methodology

The Eco festival 2022 is a one-day event to be led by the School YES-O
Coordinator, the Committee on Environmental Information and Educational
Advocacy and the YES-O Officers of Matanao Central Elementary School .
Persons in-charge will be responsible in the preparation of the activities and
programs.

All MCES learners especially the School YES-O Officers are challenged
to promote eco-conscious practices in whatever means they can to help save
the planet through TikTok, vlog, and taking pictures of naturally beautiful
scenery that can only be found in school.

VII. Socio-Economic Justification

The Eco fest 2022 is another rekindling activity with regards to conservation,
restoration and preservation of the environment. This is an opportune time for
students, teachers, community and all stakeholders to bring back what good
nature has given to mankind. In the same way, this gives a new meaning to
partnership with stakeholders to go and act hand in hand.

VI. Sustainability

The Department of Education has always been a partner to promoting the

protection, conservation and restoration of the mother nature.

The YES-O is a program-oriented organization molding the youth the value of a

balance and livable environment.
