Superfloats Floating Pump Pontoon

The pump pontoons are robustly built

with aluminium frame that joined with
marine grade superfloats floating
drums for higher corrosion resistance
in marine, salt or chemical
environments.

The pontoon welded with a single hull

in solid one piece construction. To
prevent sinking in the event of
fracture, the interior is composed of
high-density closed cell polyurethane
foam and it is suitable for marine
environment.

The pump pontoons are available in

many sizes and are specified based
upon the size and weight of the pump
systems. Options of various buoyancy
capacity up to 3600kg are available. It
also provides reliable flotation for
work pontoon.

There are optional items such as

under bracket support with or without
screen screen, safety
railing, attachments anchors or
pontoon hoist.

Intake Structure with screen

The floating pump station is used

mainly for river intakes with level
fluctuations variation. In particular, it
is adopted where rigid structures such
as water intake towers can not be
constructed due to problems such as
huge water volume to dewater to
lower water level or soft river bed
conditions.

Intake water screen effectively

removes debris from, intake water
source, to ensure adequately screened
water before taken into the raw water
systems, either by gravity or through
pumping mains.

Intake water screens can be designed

and built into the truss structure of
and attached to the floating pump
pontoon. The screen can be optionally
added on with an A-frame or lifting
davit to enable periodical screen
cleaning processes to ensure efficient
and effective cleaning of the intake
water.

Intake water screens can be provided

either in carbon steel construction for
normal surface water application or in
alloy steel construction for
abrasive/sea water application.

Floating Fountains/Aeration/Oxygenations systems

The main components of a

pumping system are: ƒ
• Pumps
•ƒPrime movers: electric motors,
diesel engines or air system ƒ
•Piping, used to carry the fluid ƒ
•Valves, used to control the flow in
the system ƒ
•Other fittings, controls and
instrumentation ƒ
•End-use equipment, which have
different requirements (e.g.
pressure, flow) and therefore
determine the pumping system
Pumping systems account for nearly 20% components and configuration.
of the world’s electrical energy demand
and range from 25-50% of the energy
usage in certain industrial plant
operations.

Pumps have two main purposes: ƒ

i.Transfer of liquid from one place to
another place (e.g. water from an
underground aquifer into a water storage
tank) ƒ
ii.Circulate liquid around a system (e.g.
cooling water or lubricants through
machines and equipment)
