Anne Boleyn was lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon and queen of England. However, her
husband Henry VIII accused her of adultery and she was executed in May 1536 inside the Tower of
London.

Summary of Anne Boleyn life:

That morning in May 1536, the still wife of King Henry VIII of England was as happy as she could
be, given the circumstances, because she would have a quick and dignified death - at least, by
English standards, they were coming to kill her. in a manner such as the bonfire, or by
decapitation. The choice was not Anne Boleyn, but her husband, the king. Luckily for her, he had
the detail of choosing to behead her. With her death, Anne Boleyn would become the first queen
of England to mount the scaffold, and the first of Henry VIII's two wives to be executed by his
order.

On May 2, 1536, Anne Boleyn was arrested and imprisoned in the Tower of London, where she
was forced to enter through the infamous Traitors' Gate.

But what did Anne Boleyn do to deserve such punishment? According to the jury that tried her,
the queen was guilty of committing adultery, incest and high treason. But most historians agree
that her only crime was not having given birth to a male child; the son that Henry VIII eagerly
awaited, and who would inherit the throne of England. Ironically, it was Henry's desire to have a
son that made Anne Boleyn queen of England. But being the wife of Henry VIII was no guarantee
of tranquility and prosperity; On the contrary, it was the opposite.

Anne Boleyn belonged to an English aristocratic family.

In 1527, the then queen of England, Catherine of Aragon, was 42 years old, and she had been
married to Henry VIII for 18 years. In the 16th century, the Catholic Church did not allow divorce,
so Henry focused his efforts on getting his marriage annulled. To this end, he developed the theory
that his marriage to Catherine had not produced an heir because he was “tainted in the eyes of
God.”
The reason? Before marrying him, Catalina had married her brother Arturo. But Arthur died before
consummating his marriage to Catherine, and the union was annulled. In order not to lose the
alliance between England and Spain that this marriage had secured, Henry married Catherine.

Anne Boleyn was one of the most prominent figures in the history of England during the 16th
century. She is mainly known for being the second wife of King Henry VIII. Her influence at court
and her role in the separation of the Church of England had a lasting impact on the country's
history.

Despite her efforts to conceive a male heir, Anne Boleyn only had one daughter, the future Queen
Elizabeth I. Additionally, her relationship with the king became strained and there were rumors of
infidelity and betrayal.

The exact date of her birth is unknown, it is known that it was between 1499 and 1507, she was
born into a family where her father was a noble Earl of Wiltshire.

In 1522 she became lady of Queen Catherine of Aragon, wife of King Henry VII. Catherine had not
yet given Henry a male heir, and there Anne saw the moment for his accession to the throne.

Anne spread rumors about why Catherine could not give him a male heir and that that is why the
king should marry her since she could give him children.

The king began to conquer her in 1526, Anne did not want her until the king told her that he would
annul her marriage to Catherine and marry her.

The pope refused to do this so England separated from the Catholic church.

The marriage took place on November 14, 1532.

On May 23, the Archbishop of Canterbury legalizes divorce, the Pope does not forgive these acts
and excommunicates the king, so the king controls the church in England and takes the lead, 1533
