1) Describe what happened to the boys and the plane.
The boys were on a flight and the plane crashed. All the adults died in the crash so they
boys had to find a leader.

2) Which of the boys has the best qualities for a potential leader? Why?
Piggy has the best qualities of a leader. He is the smartest one and he has the most
common sense.

3) Why isn't Jack able to kill the pig?

Jack is scared and doesn’t want to kill it. But he makes it seem as if hes not.

Chapter 2:
1) What difficulty do the boys face during their first official meeting? Explain.
They don’t really listen and theyre all talking at the same time.

2) How does the talk of the “beasties” affect the boys?

The talk makes the boys scared. It makes ralph realize that the kids are scared.

3) Who died? How did he die?

The boy with the birthmark dies. He is killed in the fire.
