Leadership Development Coordinator- Student Leadership Development
CSU Stanislaus, Turlock campus October 2023 – February 2024
● Responsible for all Student leadership activities as well as leading office student assistants and programs
● Develop student learning objectives/outcomes for programs based upon student needs and department priorities
● Provide group and individual leadership advising to support campus leadership development initiatives
● Chair the annual Dr. Marvalene Hughes Leadership Conference planning committee and help coordinate the conference
for Stan State Students/Staff/Faculty
● Direct the planning and implementation of the annual Student Leadership Awards
● Collaborate with the Student Organizations Coordinator to provide innovative leadership development workshops and
methods to best support student organization leaders
● Manage civic engagement opportunities and the Transition program for all students to increase involvement
● Support the Warrior Leadership Program for students interested in exploring and developing their leadership skills
● Build strong and positive relationships with other staff, faculty, and administrators from various departments to evoke a
sense of belonging and community
● Participate in weekly department meetings to ensure maximum coordination and organization
● Provided guidance, academic support, and transitional programming to incoming transfers and continuing students
● Worked with the College Possible success coaches to help advise incoming transfer students
● Guided new students through the transfer process, while setting academic goals each semester
● Promoted grants and scholarships available on campus to students using social media and workshops
● Planned and prepare for campus events while maintaining organizational duties
● Assisted with classroom and event schedules, as well as advertising resources on campus
● Clerical duties: answering emails, making copies, answering phone calls, and directing students to the
right department
● Collaborated with other NSO leaders to create the most efficient agendas
● Informed all of the new and incoming transfer students about General Education requirements, graduation requirements, and
academic policies that are implemented at Stanislaus State
● Accommodated requests for extra assistance by students, within the constraints of guidelines
