Meaning of determinism

Determinism entails that, in a situation in which a person makes a certain decision or performs a
certain action, it is impossible that he or she could have made any other decision or performed
any other action. In other words, it is never true that people could have decided or acted
otherwise than they actually did.

Determinism is the belief that events that transpire are entirely out of one's own control.
Outcomes are determined by predetermined circumstances known as preconditions, leading to
what will eventually happen to an individual.

I agree with Mark Hallett’s opinion, a researcher in neurology, he says: "Free will does not exist,
but is a perception, and not a power or a driving force. People experience free will. They have the
sensation of being free. "The more you examine it, the more you realize that you don't have it."

Conclusion

Free will does not exist because the actions, decisions or determinations that a human being
makes are nothing more than the result of a series of events or situations that occur and are linked
together. That is to say that each action has a reaction or consequence so it is determined or
conditioned.
