Adding numbers within 10.

PREP-

Print the snowman pu zzles on cardstock paper and laminate for extra durability.

Then, cut al ong the thick black lines to separate the pieces so that you have 18 snowman equations and 18
hat answers.

PLAY-

Spread out all of the hats on a table so the numbers can clearly be seen by everyone in the group.

Students take turns pulling a snowman from the basket and

reading the equation al oud. “5 + 4 = …9!”

Once the equation is solved, students search for the

matching hat.

Play continues until all of the equations are solved!
