SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presents the summary of findings made, conclusions drawn,

and recommendations advanced as a result conducted in Aringay National High

School.

Summary of Findings

The following were the salient findings of the study:

The common reasons why senior high school students are experiencing

peer pressure are difficulties in leading a group work project, students lose

their confidence and cannot manage their time properly, and expectations

and influences of people around them.

The main effects of peer pressure on the academic performance of Senior

High School students are it greatly affects their academic performance, and it

may influence them to improve in a positive way.

The common challenges that the Senior High School students experience

due to peer pressure are unstable mental health of students and

inappropriate time management in finishing their activities.

The common strategies that senior high school students use to overcome

peer pressure are students can manage their time and communicate

effectively and developing self-awareness, motivation and build self-

confidence.

Conclusion

Based on the findings, the following conclusions were derived:

There is a need for positive communication and mutual respect among

senior high school students, both within and outside their learning environment.

Students are experiencing peer pressure from their classmates, which hinders

their concentration and interaction in their groups. They often rely on their

leaders, leading to peer pressure on other students. This pressure leads to a loss

of self-confidence and poor time management. High expectations from their

peers cause students to fail or face difficulties, leading to stress and negative

influences that interfere with their ability to focus. The students' experiences

highlight the importance of effective peer pressure in maintaining academic

success.

Peer pressure is an important concern among senior high school students

that hinders their academic achievement by causing a lack of concentration.

Students often struggle with tasks due to excessive pressure, leading to feelings

of failure and difficulty studying. However, peer pressure can be a positive tool

their psychological and emotional well-being. It is crucial for schools to address

these challenges to prevent psychological problems. Additionally, students are

struggling with time management, as peer pressure affects their academic

performance, preventing them from completing tasks or projects on time.

It emphasizes the importance of effective communication, particularly with

supportive friends, to manage time effectively and avoid stress. It also

emphasizes the need for self-confidence, embracing positivity, and motivation to

overcome negativity. Individuals can ignore negative comments and focus on

achieving their goals, ultimately overcoming others' pressures.

Setting goals, being responsible, and focusing on them are crucial for

success. Students should set goals, complete tasks on time, and avoid wasting

time on unimportant tasks. To deal with peer pressure, students should avoid

letting others' opinions influence them and have the freedom to make decisions

for themselves. It is essential to avoid being bothered by others' opinions and

Based on the conclusions derived the following recommendations are

offered:

Senior High School students should build and maintain a harmonious

relationship among their peers.

Senior High School students should identify their priorities and set clear

academic goals to regain their focus and motivation.

Senior High School students should practice self-compassion and build a

support network that can provide comfort and reassurance during difficult

times.

The common advices that senior high school students gave to their peers

who are under peer pressure are students should focus on their goals and

have enough time to complete their activities and don’t let your peers put you

down.

Senior High School students should create a balanced schedule that

allows for both academic study and social activities.
