Section 2 – Composition
A liquid mixture of polyether/ polyester polyols, amine catalysts, water and surfactant
Inhalation: Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one’s own safety whilst doing so. If
unconscious, check for breathing and apply artificial respiration if necessary. If conscious,
ensure the casualty sits or lies down. Consult a doctor.
Skin: Remove any contaminated clothing and launder before re-use. Wash affected area with
soap and plenty of water.
Eye: Immediately wash with plenty of clear water or an eyewash solution for at least 15
minutes. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, keep at rest, and seek prompt medical attention
Protective Equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in fire
conditions
Personal Precautions: Remove all possible sources of ignition in the surrounding area.
Environmental Precautions: Do not discharge into drains or river. Contain the spillage using bunding.
Clean-up Methods: Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillage. Ventilate
area. Eliminate sources of ignition. Absorb spillage onto sand, earth or any
suitable absorbent material, and transfer to a container for disposal. Wash
the spillage area and clean with water and detergent. Do not allow entering
drains, sewer or water sources.
Disposal Operation: Disposal should be accordance with local, state or national legislation. The
generation of waste should be avoided or minimised wherever possible. If this is not
possible, destruction is to be in approved facility under controlled conditions.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If breathing
difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician. Effects may be delayed.
Skin: Wash immediately with water followed by soap and water. If symptoms persist, obtain
medical attention. Contaminated clothing should be laundered before reuse.
Eye: Irrigate immediately with plenty of clear water or an eyewash solution for at least 15
minutes. Apply sterile castor oil or simple eye ointment. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: If swallowed immediately call physician who will decide on need and method of emptying
the stomach.
Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapor or mist. Use
adequate ventilation. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling.
Storage: Do not store drums uncovered out of doors. Do not reseal containers unless it is
certain that no moisture contamination has occurred.

Stability: Stable
Products to Avoid: Water, alcohols and strong bases
Hazardous Reactions: Reaction with water/moisture produces CO2 gas. Exothermic reaction
with materials containing active hydrogen groups.
Hazardous Decomposition: Above 270C, it produces CO, HCN and Nitrogen oxide

Inhalation: Inhalation of MDI mists or vapors may cause respiratory irritation, breathlessness, chest
discomfort and reduced pulmonary function.
Skin: Skin contact with MDI may result in irritation and a mild tanning action, depending on the
amount and length of contact.
Eyes: Direct eye contact with MDI products may produce severe watering, irritation and
inflammation of mucous membranes. Corneal opacity and discharge may result, if MDI is
not removed.
Ingestion: The effects of ingestion include irritation and burning of the mouth, esophagus, and stomach.
Disposal Operation: Disposal should be accordance with local, state or national legislation. The
generation of waste should be avoided or minimised wherever possible. If this is not
possible, destruction is to be in approved facility under controlled conditions.
Other information: Not dangerous cargo. Irritating to skin and eyes. Keep dry. Avoid heat
above 50C and below 0C. Keep away from foodstuffs, acids and alkalis.
