Why: In one of my earliest
jobs, I was working with a
team of people around my
age. I was always taking the
initiative by making sure to
approach my managers to
ask for tasks to do which
they deemed to be suitable
for my skill level. I also was
not afraid to ask for help
should they give me a task
that I didn’t know how to
manage.
Transferable: Efficacy
Why: I always try to hand in
work of a high quality and
sometimes this can affect
the efficacy or the delivery of
the task. I do try. to the best
of my abilities, to keep an
eye on making sure that I
complete my tasks in the
most efficient way possible.
Contextual
Gain: Impediments removal
How: I see myself as a
person who is self-aware
and also a person who likes
the problem of problem-
solving. Therefore I will try to
transfer my problem-solving
skills to help me identify,
recognize and remove any
challenges and obstacles in
the way of my progress and
that of the team I work in.
Have: Teaching
Why: I have experience as
a teacher, and what I’ve
learned from this experience
is that different people
require different
communication methods
and styles to understand
and retain information. I
address these needs by
using methods such as
visual aids and adjusting the
intonation of my voice.
Additionally, I've observed
that some students culturally
prefer to be addressed in
specific tones, so I've
learned to adapt the
intensity of my voice
depending on the type of
students I encounter.
Technical

How: I will increase my
knowledge of the principles
and values of the agile
framework to further
understand the philosophy
that governs this strategy.
Emphasis is placed on the
customer and the customer
receiving good quality
products as well as their
experience with the product.
Improve: Tooling
How: I am a solutions-
oriented individual and this
trait is one in which I can
improve in line with
becoming a scrum master
as this is a skill that is
essential in this role. How I
will achieve this is to
improve my ability to think
on my feet and to adapt to
changes. I am proactive in
my mission to achieve these
improvements. I am
partaking in courses
provided by experienced
scrum masters in which I am
strengthening my knowledge
of being an effective and
efficient scrum master.
