This is to affirm that Govt Utkrishat College Daulatpur Chowk is committed to

implementation of waste management and environmental measures at Govt
Utkrishat College Daulatpur Chowk to foster a sustainable and eco-friendly
campus environment.
1. Waste Segregation and Recycling: We will implement a comprehensive waste
segregation program across campus to separate recyclable materials from non-
recyclable waste. This initiative will involve installing designated bins for different
types of waste and promoting awareness among students, faculty, and staff about
the importance of recycling.
2. Composting: We will establish composting facilities on campus to recycle organic
waste generated from cafeteria leftovers, landscaping activities, and other sources.
The compost produced will be used to enrich soil fertility in campus gardens and
green spaces.
3. Reducing Single-Use Plastics: We are committed to minimizing the use of single-
use plastics on campus by promoting the use of eco-friendly alternatives such as
reusable water bottles, biodegradable utensils, and compostable packaging.
4. Energy Efficiency: We will continue to prioritize energy efficiency measures
throughout campus buildings by retrofitting lighting systems with energy-efficient
LED bulbs, optimizing HVAC systems, and implementing smart energy
management practices.
5. Green Transportation: We will encourage the use of sustainable transportation
options among students and staff, such as biking, carpooling, and using public
transit. Additionally, we will explore opportunities to electrify our campus vehicle
fleet and install charging stations for electric vehicles.
6. Environmental Education and Awareness: We will integrate environmental
sustainability into our curriculum and co-curricular activities to educate students
about environmental issues, inspire eco-conscious behavior, and empower them to
become agents of positive change in their communities.
