Establishment of a Research Park

Gujarat as a state is at the cusp of a transformational journey to ensure its pivotal

position as the growth engine of our country. Engineering education has witnessed
penetration of disruptive technologies in all aspects of human civilization.

Vision: Foster the culture of research & development by providing state of the art
technology, infrastructure, innovation driven ecosystem and entrepreneurial
ambience for research enthusiasts.

The research park will be established at a strategic location in Ahmedabad that

provides ease of access, connectivity, and proximity to educational institutions,
industrial clusters, and research centers. The proposed location for the park is at
L.D. College of Engineering Campus.
The proposed budget of the research park is Rs. 100 crores over a span of five
years in phased manner. The overall bifurcation is 75 crores for non-recurring
expenditure and 25 crores for recurring expenses.

The overall function of the research park will be carried out under the guidance of
Apex committee and Executive committee. The proposed research park will have
research and testing facilities as well as industry co-working space for smooth
functioning.

- 25+ the technology transfer
- 20+ Industrie supported R&D centers
- Interdisciplinary researches in emerging areas

Conclusion

The establishment of this research park aligns with the vision of the Technical
Education Department, Government of Gujarat, to accelerate innovation, research
excellence, and economic growth within the state. By fostering collaboration
among academia, industry, and government, this initiative holds the promise of
significant contributions to Gujarat's development and prosperity.
