Nasreddin and The Pot

Nasreddin went to his neighbour to borrow a large cooking pot. When he returned it, the neighbour was surprised to
find a smaller pot inside.

“What’s this?” he asked. “This pot is not mine,” he added.

“Yes, it is,” said Nasreddin. “While your pot was staying with me, it had a baby, and naturally, as the
larger pot is yours, so the smaller pot belongs to you also.”

“What a fool!” thought the man, but he smiled and accepted the pot.

Sometime later, Nasreddin asked if he might borrow the pot again. The neighbour agreed, hoping that he would once
again receive two pots in return. However, days passed and Nasreddin still had not returned the pot. After a few
weeks, the neighbour went to ask for it back.

“Oh, I am sorry to tell you.” said Nasreddin, “Your pot has died.”

"Died!" screamed the neighbour, "How can a pot die?" asked the neighbour angrily.

"Well," said Nasreedin,"you believed me when I told you that your pot had a baby."
